<p>The OS Giken enlarged rear differential cover is made from cast aluminum and is designed to provide increased fluid capacity. (NOTE: This is only for the Mazda MX-5 ND 2.0)</p><p>The standard capacity of 0.6 liters of differential fluid has proven insufficient for heavy-duty use, leading to frequent fluid changes. Effectively doubling the fluid capacity has been proven to extend fluid change intervals and will help improve the long-term health of the differential's internal components, as well as its associated bearings and seals.</p><p>The cover is dimensionally identical to the OEM unit for precise fitment and retention of OEM side bearing tolerance. It also features additional ports to facilitate the installation of a differential cooler, as well as a temperature sensor for data acquisition.</p><p>-Increases total fluid capacity to 1.2L compared to the OEM cover's 0.6L<br>-Includes (2) 3/8-NPT port plugs<br>-Includes (1) 1/8-NPT port plug<br>-Reuses drain/fill bolts and upper breather from the OEM cover<br>-Factory fasteners are reused.<br>-Direct installation for OS Giken SuperLock LSDs. No modification of the OEM cover is required to install a SuperLock LSD.</p>
