The OS Giken SuperLock limited slip differential uses our patented thrust ring design that provides smooth, progressive locking action. This design with continuous splines through the side gears allows the installation of more friction plates (up to 2x as many as competing versions). 

• All components are chemically heat treated for maximum durability
• All components are made of high-quality steel alloy
• Gears are rough forged for maximum strength
• Friction plates are precision machined on both sides simultaneously to extremely close tolerances, resulting in minimal warpage.
• The limited slip differential housing is milled from one solid piece to ensure uniformity.

The standard setting of the OS Giken SuperLock limited slip differential allows a low preload while still maintaining a fully progressive 100% locking effect. Operation is quiet and the progressive locking action provides smooth, predictable locking action. When replacing an open differential, installing an OS Giken SuperLock limited slip differential will completely improve the driving experience while maintaining everyday usability.

Tuning options

If your application requires significantly more power, we offer in-house additional tuning services for your new/used limited slip differential. More power usually means more load on the differential. We have the ability to speed up or slow down the differential operation so that the vehicle can achieve maximum traction.

• The initial torque can be adjusted by using thicker/thinner conical springs
• The timing of the lock progression can be adjusted by using stiffer/weaker compression ring springs, allowing the progression to full lock action to be fine-tuned to the vehicle/driver
• Approach angles can be adjusted by changing the thrust ring and iron cross for even more tuning options
• TCD-spec friction plates can be installed for improved oil cooling and even smoother operation
